  10. In a physician practice, influence decision-making for the adoption of information technology by identifying benefits of moving to an EHR practice to the practice staff and physician. Utilize— current literature reviews and local interviews in your research.
  11. In a DHHS Medicare fraud office, advocate on behalf of the individual to access and be engaged in the review and awareness of the patients’ health record, and the value of maintaining a PHR. Train DHHS staff on the proper release of information when contacting vendors, therapists, and other service providers in regards to a fraud complaint.

 

 


 

  • Task Description: Create a  PowerPoint presentation  on the idea that (you) the presenter is conducting an informational session on ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS processes and present it as if you are internally working in that particular hospital and using this material to inform its staff about ICD-10 systems and implementation.  The presenter should do the presentation as if the staff does not know anything about ICD-10-CM/PCS, how it works, why it is needed, what is involved,  their roles, and what impact that changing to ICD-10 will have on the organization and the healthcare delivery system.
